Champion and Challenger

I need to be a little unpredictable about the time when posting updates of new content. Every once in a I while post files of a similar genre side by side so you can choose between the original and the challenger.

Psychopath versus Orbox.

Flygirl versus Greencastle's new game.

Nucleus versus Planarity. In Planarity, the lines must not overlap.

I promised to post Eric's file. He only had flash for 6 days, and came up with Pillferetta

Generic Space Game versus not-so-generic space game (Phighter).

Generation Y.

Only my generation will appreciate this. Michael Jackson in dozens of Nintendo titles.

No, not a Thursday night update! It'll be ripped.

Some people think there were too many tutorials lately, so I'll avoid posting those for today. Haven't posted any ABS members' games for a while.

First game is an entry to the ABS Flash Developers contest number 7. The first-place prize is a licenced version of Swift 3D. Second game is a copy of Keaton's Uninvited which is already a parody of that game genre. Third is a non-shooting shooter for handhelds (small size). Fourth is an RPG from Brett who also made Musical Lantern, and lastly a game inspired by Hapland.

Resolved.

Sorry for any delay yesterday. In the meantime I put together another web coding tutorial.

I know, I know. Too many soundboards lately. It relates to the tutorial though.

Technical issues.

Server 2 is getting a new hard drive, so all the files on Server 2 (mostly Flash tutorials and classic Animations) will be offline for a bit.

External.

While not a homegrown animation, Blake of NBX Sports Shows asked for me to post this, and with drawing techniques such as theirs, I couldn't refuse. They should watch their language though in the future.

Something different.

Smaller updates, more often. Let's try it for a while.

Nonsense and education.

This first video is just a rerun, but these are things you can try at home.

All Soundboards today

I need to take a break from working on the backend, and start adding the newest material to the main page. I used to make themed updates, and today I will go ahead and post only new soundboards.

I wouldn't want to leave you empty handed without the developer aspect.

In Transition

Watch this space. I will be giving a full report on the changes. Update: And here it is:

Working hard.

The new design is coming along faster than expected. It's mostly a backend change, but I am adding some new sections and new skins as well. I will document all the changes once I am finished. In the meantime you can get this song stuck in your head:

Looks like Daniel really followed sections 2 and 3 from this flash tutorial.

Happy Canada Day

Some important things. I am sorry for being behind in PMs, emails, discussions and of course updates, among other responsibilities.

In the middle of creating the new version of this site (and it will be worth it) I got sick. More impactful though, my computer broke and had to be repaired. I will still update again while creating the new version. Bear with me. I am working hard. While my computer was broken, I just wrote and wrote on paper for the new version.

In the meantime, Parry Gripp submitted this catchy song he wrote accompanied by an animation from his friend Nathan:

As for the food reruns, that now makes pie, more pie, pie pie pie, eggs, beans and milk and cereal for breakfast, with a nice side of taters and an evil strawberry for dessert. Don't even get me started on Wootbeer, Sausages or Peanuts. That's not for breakfast.
