This is a friendlier and faster version of the GTranslate Language Selector Widget by GTranslate. The CSS is inlined on the page instead of injected with JavaScript and the script is inlined instead of externally loaded.
I don't like to just paste widgets as they are provided. I like to customize them for the design of the site they are pasted into.
The dropdown version of this makes use of the brand-new appearance: base-select; CSS property. This allows images and any other HTML code to show up in the select dropdown.
