Director
I'd only recommend Director to those that want to make interactive 3D environments. The Shockwave format that Macomedia Director produces is not one of my favourite file types. But I'm just being biased.
This program is speicialized in mathematical formulas and 3D landscapes. Very interesting games can be made from this program.
