VLC Media Player
VLC Media Player is a free and open source multimedia player for almost all of your digital media including DVDs, VCDs and streaming media. VLC is extremely light-weight, compatible with almost everything and doing well at 1.8 downloads per second!
I personally recommend VLC, as I have been using it as my only computer media player for the last few months with no issues. VLC media player is a highly recommended download.
