I was originally hired to provide an intro animated video, and later would be providing animations for the different services as well. I brought in Ray Avid Lebon, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, and later added Andrew Kepple to the team as well to complete the animation with music in a timely manner.
Axess Law mentioned they had been having issues adding new content areas to their (cheap WordPress) Website, and I ended up getting hired to create a couple new custom Websites and take over their SEO, all originally done by a Malaysian company. Their Malaysian SEO consisted of linkbuilding over MySpace and Tumblr, which is considered spam. You get what you pay for.
Designing to the company’s specfications was tricky since the requirement was to use large swaths of orange, which burns the eyes under text. I am most happy with my second redesign where I experimented using different shades of orange in a polygon background, even creating a custom scrollbar with the same pattern.
Unfortunately, they wanted me to copy the services grid aspect of LegalLink’s site simply because they believed LegalLink had copied aspects of the first design I created for Axess Law. I’m not into these ego battles, but made the best of the requirement.
I also created an April Fool’s version of the site that had images of dressed up monkeys representing the different services. It was never made public.
